Gelita to Showcase New Softgel and Collagen Solutions

Gelita, the German headquartered supplier of peptides and gelatin solutions for the nutritional sector, will introduce its latest innovations, including its softgel controlled release portfolio featuring DELASOL for enteric softgels, RAPISOL for rapid release, and RXL Ultra to combat crosslinking, which can cause softgels to harden and affect gastrointestinal dissolution and release rates. At a presentation during the event, experts from Gelita will discuss overcoming crosslinking using plant-based ingredients. The company will also present EASYSEAL, a solution to reduce leaks in softgel production.

Gelita, a supplier of peptides and gelatin solutions for the nutritional sector, has announced what it will be showcasing at CPHI this year.

This includes its controlled release portfolio of performance products for superior softgels.

The company will display its anti-crosslinking solutions, which are suitable for challenging, plant-based fills, according to Gelita.

Expert speakers will explain how to overcome these challenges, while Gelita Health representatives will be on hand to show how customers can achieve success in the collagen supplement markets.

Visitors to booth 10G72 can explore the advantages of GELITA’s newly rebranded Controlled Release Portfolio, which enables manufacturers to choose when and where in the body softgel fills are released.

The range includes:

  • DELASOL: the only product on the market that creates enteric softgels in a single step, with no need for additional coating, making production more efficient

  • RAPISOL: for when rapid fill release is the goal

  • RXL Portfolio, including RXL Ultra: for reduced crosslinking, no matter how challenging the fill.

“We have streamlined and strengthened the branding across our Controlled Release Portfolio to highlight each product’s particular benefits,” explains Dr Stephan Hausmanns, Head of Global Marketing & Innovation Management at GELITA Performance Solutions. “This will also enable us to add additional brands to the portfolio as we develop further innovations in the future. Stay tuned for more to come.”

Alongside its Controlled Release Portfolio, GELITA will present EASYSEAL, a gelatin that dramatically reduces leakers during softgel production and beyond.

Product innovation presentation

In their session at 1:45 p.m. on October 8 (Manufacturing & Outsourcing Theatre, Hall 5), GELITA experts Dennis Witthoeft and Dr Katrin Kaspar will discuss “Heavy Crosslinking due to novel Plant Extracts – Challenge Accepted with RXL Ultra”.

RXL Ultra sets a benchmark in anti-crosslinking performance. It maintains the known benefits of softgel gelatin while solving even the most extreme crosslinking challenges. The result is reliable products with superior stability and shelf-life.
